CTiS&D AGM

A brief report

The meeting was attended by 46 people from 15 churches and other organisations, and preceded by refreshments generously provided by members of the host church. After worship led by Suffolk Road Church and welcomes to newcomers, we considered and approved reports and accounts. The chairman commented on the good cooperation between churches and the strength of Churches Together in Sudbury & District. We re-elected the current officers and heard about the local Fellowship Football league, where eight teams play with a Christian ethos and without a referee. The final part of an interesting evening was spent in small groups discussing ideas for future activities, where many new ideas emerged. The full minutes will be available later.

Roger Pullan commented: Thank you Suffolk Road Church for your terrific hospitality! A great evening of encouragement. May God’s Spirit truly guide us all in genuine fellowship in the year to come.

The AGM and quarterly Forums are open to all, not just the church representatives, so please come along to hear and influence what CTiS&D are doing on your behalf.

Officers were elected, the work of Churches Together and the many linked organisations during the last twelve months covered, and heard about Fellowship Football. There was an Open Session and which was your chance to tell us what we are doing well, and what we could do better. All ideas for the future were welcomed.
