Quakers have a business meeting after service the first Sunday in the month. Because of this the service only lasts 3/4 hour instead of an hour. Stay and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before business meeting.
On 2nd and 4th Sundays we have “creative listening” after coffee. This is great fun! While one person speaks they hold the focus object
Everyone else listens until the object is replaced on the table, when someone else may pick it up and speak. Sometimes subjects are discussed at a deep level, and no-one wants to leave! This usually takes place for 1/2 hour till 12.30pm.
There is a lot of silence in Quaker meetings. People speak as the Holy Spirit leads. Sometimes there is deep community in the silence.
All are welcome. Friends(of Truth) are not a secret society. Discover!
