Christmas Greetings from Chairman, Peter Halden

So it’s Christmas again!  It comes round every year and each year seems just a bit more frenetic than the last – there’s the endless shopping for presents – we must get something for everyone and treat all the children exactly the same. Then there’s all the food and the drink – and all at a time when the cash seems to be in very short supply..

Have you ever sat down to think “What’s this all about?” What is the true meaning of Christmas?.

Really it’s so simple – it is a celebration of the birth of a baby ~ a birthday party if you like.  It’s to celebrate an event that changed the course of history ~ the beginning of an amazing journey by Jesus from his birth in a stable in Bethlehem to a cruel death 33 years later in Jerusalem – for you and me..

So, as you celebrate this Christmas, spare a thought for Jesus this year it is after all his special day!.
