Prayer Breakfasts

This Saturday, 23 June, Prayer Breakfast is at New Life Church, in G Block, Thomas Gainsborough School, Wells Hall Rd, Great Cornard, Sudbury CO10 0NH, 8 to 9.30am as usual for a light breakfast and a time of prayer.

On Saturday 30 June Prayer Breakfast is at St John’s Methodist Church, and on 7 July at Sudbury Baptist Church.

Sunday evening meetings

The Apostolic church has started Sunday evening “Worship and Word” meetings. They commence at 19:30hr every Sunday evening and end at around 21:00hr.

I would like to invite everyone within the Churches Together family to the Apostolic church on the evening of the 24th June. Many thanks to all who helped with Christian Aid Week, through praying, the house-to-house collection, counting the money or in any other way.

For Sudbury and Great Cornard, the total so far stands at £4,314. This includes the offering at the United Service at Bures, and the coffee morning at St John’s. Late contributions, and Gift Aid, will increase this figure. The individual amounts raised will be available in due course.

Would you like to help to give a bible to a year 6 child? St Gregory’s Church are looking to give Bibles to all school leavers at Tudor and St Gregory’s schools. Individuals are being asked if they would like to sponsor a bible. If so we would add the name of the person donating  and also if they wish a Bible verse or reference. The Bibles chosen are not the cheapest but offer a good modern translation (New Living) ..read more

The Foxearth Meadows team would value prayers for the reserve.  Last week on Tuesday there was a theft of railway sleepers bought for footpath bridges.  Please pray for the safety and security of the reserve, and for the perpetrators of the theft too.

This Saturday, 19 May, we are at Acton Church, 8 to 9.30am as usual for a light breakfast and a time of prayer. (Sorry, last week I omitted the vital word “Acton”.)

On Saturday 26 May we will be at Cornard Christian Fellowship.

The last gap in the current list is now filled: on 30 June we will be at St John’s Methodist Church Hall, Sudbury.
