<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">Two local choirs are joining forces to present one of the largest and most exciting works of the choral repertoire this Spring.  Choral Societies from Sudbury and Haverhill will perform Verdi’s <em>Requiem</em> at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on <strong>Saturday 5</strong></span><strong><sup>th</sup></strong><span style="font-size: small;"><strong> May</strong> <em>at 7.30 pm</em>.  </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">Sudbury Choral Society was established 65 years ago while Haverhill can trace their roots back to 1860, but this is the first time that they have come together to put on a major work.  The combined choirs, totalling some 120 singers, will be conducted by David Butcher, who has been Sudbury’s choirmaster for 20 years, and Jane Wright, who is in her tenth year as Haverhill’s leader.  </span></span></p>

This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating Learning’, with contributions by pupils and staff of Sudbury Schools. All are welcome.
